Carnival is in the air

[I haven't even looked at this blog since last year, but in case anyone has....]


HELLO BLOGGER WORLD!
My first Trinidad Carnival was the BEST time of my life! I saw family I haven't seen in years; had my first taste of my favorite rum, Old Oak White; play [cuz I can't swim] on the shores where I almost drown as a child, Maracas; jump up til meh foot hurt; wine for my life... IT WAS A TIME! My favorite party overall was Soca Monarch- We did VVIP, so the free drinks and food [even though we missed most of the food] was well worth the money. Little did we know that the real jamishness is on the ground, so we made it down there pretty late but still had a ball!! But my BEST part of my trip was jouvert with Insomniacs.. I don't even have words for the amazing time we had! All I can say is, we INSOMNIACS fa life!! We played with Legacy which was cool, but I don't think I'd play with them again. I have to big up Foxy and he maxi taxi!! Bcuz after the time I had in Insomniacs and the man I met, I slept for almost 3 hours DURING carnival! LMAO! This year we're trying Ronnie and Caro and we're registered in Saucy in de Marketplace! So Ronnie and Caro, get ready 4 bare wutlessness!!

So We've Narrowed It Down...

WE NEED HELP!!! Who should we jump w/?!!?!! We would like people's input as to which band is best: best all-inclusive, best quality of mas, who has Monday gear, who keeps the liquor flowing, BESS music, and of course, who have d sexiest men :-) We've definitely done our research to help narrow it down and here's what we've 'decided' on.

1) Tribe, http://www.carnivaltribe.com/ - sold out b4 we could blink our eyes!! So sad.. bcuz we love EVERY section!! However if anyone's knows of any way to get in, we are very interested!! Any section, except Night Owl!

2) Elements, http://www.elementscarnival.com/costumes/index.htm- We like a few of the sections. But we're weren't overly impressed.. Then that non-inclusive drink ting, really threw us off!! But nonetheless top choices were Caesar's Place and Cabaret.

3) Evolution, http://evolution-carnival.com/- I really liked the look of this band! Everything sounds good- from the Monday gear, 2 the cool down trucks, 2 the mobile restrooms!! I think I'm in love :-) Burning Ecstasy and Jewels of Desire frontline (but I ent wearing heels, so I should cut that 1 out!)

4) Genesis, http://carnivalgenesis.com/Costumes.html- Genesis looks cool. I loved the fact that all the models weren't stick thin and had some color!! Big up yuhself Genesis!! Only ting is, I didn't see any mobile restrooms, cool down trucks or info about Monday gear... Choices: Cocktail Diva (I love Pink), and Mystere (it's different..)

5) KAOTIC, http://www.kaoticcarnival09.com/- Def in love w/ Kaotic!! Finally a band giving Tribe some competition (@ least in my opinion)!! Only downfall, no Monday gear.. But then again, is that even a downfall??
My sections: Heavenly Passion, Untamed, Aqua Abyss, and my favorite, Horizon! I could see myself in any of those costumes!! Bare sexyness!


6) Pulse 8, http://www.pulse8carnival.com/- Another band that's def doing it 4 me!! But, I find its a lil expensive.. But it may b worth the money, bcuz it features all the nice all-inclusive stuff!
Oh gosh: Sexy Samba!! That section is sooo me!

7) Spice Carnival, http://www.spicecarnival.com/ - Spice is cool! But just that.. I'm not crazy about the band as a whole. But I do like Garden Sage and Scotch Bonnet.



8) Trini Revellers, http://www.trinirevellersmas.com/- I'm very anxious 2 see these costumes! My father highly recommends this band.. I wonder why??

So there you have it.. If a band wasn't on the list it's bcuz I didn't like their costumes or their site hasn't launched as yet. Either way, I think we have more than enough 2 choose from.. Now all we need is your feedback! Help out these carnival virgins please!!

Good Afternoon 2 all.
I am the young lady, known as Mz No Behavior of D'Natural Beauties from Boston, MA.
I started this blog 2 gain some more carnival insight- as me & d' crew will b attending our 1st T&T carnival!!! I have been ALL over Saucy's blog (big up yuhself gyul), checked out all the mas camp sites, and of course keep up with meh soca!
